MoD blast 4 past MoHA

EX-NATIONAL player, Hj Md Rosanan Abdullah Samak, powered the Ministry of Development (MoD) to a 4-0 win over Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) in the first match of the Inter-Ministry Sports Carnival Futsal Veteran - 45 and above match last night.
It did not take long for the Brunei Youth Team coach to make his mark on the match at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas. A cross from the left wing was neatly tucked into the back of the net by Rosanan, who was left unmarked in the penalty area.
Md Hakimi Abdullah Gampar missed a chance to equalise mere seconds later, somehow miscueing a ball that only required a simple tap in.
He would regret the missed opportunity when Rosanan doubled MoD's advantage. Taking his time with the ball inside the penalty box with no defence in sight, Rosanan cheekily slotted the ball between MoHa's goalkeeper, Zaini Hj Abang, legs to score his second of the night.
MoHA players saw the game slip away when Pg Momin Pg Hj Ahmad scored for MoD again to make it 3-0 in the opening minutes of the second half.
It was apparent that Rosanan was giving MoHA a hard time with his vision and passing, delivering a through ball for Abd Rahim Sarbini, forcing a save from Anslawi Hj Tengah.
Rosanan had a hand in MoD's fourth goal of the night, the referee awarding a penalty against MoHA when he was adjudged to have been brought down by Md Hakimi.
Pg Momin stepped up to the spot and was right on target to score his second and MoD's fourth of the match.
Though MoD won big, manager Zaini Tumih, is playing down the team's prospects in the tournament, "We're just taking things one step at a time at this stage of the tournament."
MoD and MoHA are in Group A of the Veteran - 45 and above category alongside the Ministry of Education (MoE).
Today, Group A's MoE will take on MoHA while Group B's Prime Minister's Office face Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources.
The Ministry of Defence are set to face Ministry of Finance as Group C also sees action.
