AIKO FUSION
AIKO FUSION
Aiko Sushi restaurant is celebrating its one-year anniversary. I remember trying their first Ramadhan buffet last year, and I have to honestly say, the food has gotten better. At $8.80 for adults and $4 for kids, Aiko Sushi has made me a happy camper tonight.
The whole restaurant was fully packed! But it really isn’t a surprise since the food is good, and affordable. If you’re interested in dining in, I’d advice you to call to make a reservation. And also ask for what’s on their menu for that day, because their menu changes daily.
They serve a combination of Japanese and Asean fusion food. That means you not only get to feast on Japanese dishes like sushi, but also, nasi briyani which I absolutely loved, sesame fried chicken, lamb curry, fried noodles and mixed vegetables. Di and I both agreed that the salmon head cooked with enoki mushrooms was top notch.
Besides the food, the other thing I like about Aiko Sushi is its chic look of the restaurant. Red chairs, wooden tables and bonsai plants. You can definitely feel the Japanese, Malay and Chinese fusion in the restaurant’s look and its food.
Panjang umurnya, panjang umurnya.

The spread that awaits you.

The restaurant looks comfortable and chic.

Sushi spread.

I could not resist the nasi briyani! Smelled as good as it tasted.

Fried noodles.

Vegetable curry

The sesame chicken was tender and yum.

Oh, siew mai!

Mummy says “have your veggies please”.

This lamb curry, with the nasi briyani, made me very happy.

And the piece de resistance of the night: salmon head cooked with ginger and enoki mushrooms! This was sweet and savoury. A thumbs up!

Soup of the day.

And for dessert, there’s fruit cocktail, and fresh fruits (look at that carved watermelon bowl; that’s how I think all fruits should be served).

Ulaman

Delicious cakes, curry puffy (I liked this) and cucur pisang.

And to satisfy your sweet tooth even more, they had tiny donuts. Hooray for tiny donuts!

All in line and ready to eat.

They serve the tarik, coffee, rose syrup and water.
Congratulations to Aiko Sushi for hitting the one year mark. Here’s to many more yummy anniversaries to come. Ganbatte!
