AMANAH HARITH, DO TRY THE LAKSA

The theme for Amanah Harith’s restaurant is Malaysian food, with a Malaysian kitchen. The chef, Zulhilmi Yunus, is a man from the city of KL. And boy, he definitely brings along the taste of it here. For $13.90 for adults and $7.50 for kids, you get to try the different local dishes of Malaysia, like their nasi goreng kerabu, ayam kurma, daging kapitan, ikan masam manis, a deep fried station, roti John, assorted Malaysian desserts like kuih koci, and there’s even a roti canai station! That had to be the highlight of the whole buffet for me. Cooked on the spot for you. I mean, really, what is better than crispy roti canai dipped curry!

I could not get enough of their noodles station. And this was also recommended by the chef as a must try. Along with his other recommended dish, the buah Melaka dessert, covered in shredded coconut with a sweet surprise center. Oh goodness, I had three pieces at one go.

The restaurant is quite spacious, and plenty of tables around. But it’s better to reserve (tel: 2332829 / 8750292 / 7103021) beforehand because the place is usually pack for sungkai. The restaurant has a family-feel to it, a place you’d consider dining in with your parents or a bunch of close friends.
