BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE Empire Hotel & Country Club is celebrating the month of November with a special cake - the Caramelised Black Olives Chocolate Cake.
Guaranteed to curb the craving for chocolate, this 'Cake of the Month' is made up of generous layers of sumptuous dark Belgian chocolate mousse, 64 per cent cocoa and pecan nuts, sprinkled over an airy sponge cake layer with caramelised black olives.
Pastry Chef Benjamin and his culinary team create unique and custom-ordered cakes for all occasions, such as weddings, anniversary or even just as a little treat to yourself.
All the desserts and pastries are prepared fresh daily, and are available for order or take-away at Zest, the lifestyle café that also serves an exceptional selection of specialty coffees and teas, along with fresh juices, shakes, smoothies and soft drinks.
Another newly introduced delicacy that will take you on a flavourful journey is the Belcolade - a sensationally rich, triple chocolate mousse dessert made with real Belgian chocolate.
A fruity Blackcurrant Cinnamon Tart based on the traditional French dessert of claufotis, combined with the spicy notes of cinnamon-infused cream, will also be another must-try feature on the menu.
