BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - JERUDONG Park Country Club (JPCC) recently organised a two-night show called Local Is Best: Family Entertainment Night at the Mini-Amphitheatre Jerudong Park Playground.
According to Noor Shukriah Hj Joly from the JPCC Sales and Business Development Department, the show was organised to entice visitors with live performances rather than the rides on offer at the park.
"For those two nights, a lot of families brought their children to watch the bands perform some 70s to 80s tune, and it brought back a bit of nostalgic memories for them," she said.
She added that it brought entertainment to both the elders and children alike, as the former enjoy listening to classical music while the younger ones had fun on the rides.
"The show's purpose was also to encourage other bands or artistes to perform here; if they wish to rent the place, they may as it will undoubtedly promote them," she continued.
Noor Shukriah also found the high turnout of visitors encouraging, as 200 to 300 people came to the mini-amphitheatre to support the local artistes.
The show saw performances from artistes and bands such as Krizuna band, Mienul and Fyqah of P2F, 4th August band, Juju, Zul Faden and Dayat.
