Zul Faden And Lily Chiam Wow Audience In Osaka

Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei's famed producer and singer, Lily Chiam and Zul Faden, captured the hearts of the audience with their inspirational performances at the Asean Tourism Fair held in Osaka, Japan recently.

The duo who have worked together in a series of songs performed 14 sessions of shows, winning over new Japanese fans with their songs at the fair.

Recalling their performance, Lily Chiam who is also involved in Zul Faden's latest album "Memori Cinta" said, "They (Japanese audience) really liked the piano music.

"They closed their eyes and listened to the song we performed. I think it's very soothing and therapeutic."

The music Lily Chiam showcased was from her album such as the songs "You are the one" and "Your Love", while Zul Faden performed "Kasih", "Manaku Pergi" as well as "Speechless".

Lily Chiam who already has two albums under her name and owns the popular musical school Expression Music, said, "The Japanese crowds loved our performance ... they really enjoyed it. We managed to attract a handful of fans. Some were really sweet and presented gifts to both Zul Faden and I".

Zul Faden who recently launched his latest album "Memori Cinta" or Love Memories mesmerised the audience with his powerful voice.

He said, "It's an honour to represent Brunei Darussalam at the fair.

"We performed for people from all walks of life. It was my first time performing in Japan and it felt great. I wish I could have stayed longer."

He added, "Although they didn't understand our Malay language, they could really feel and listen to the songs through their heart. Many of the fans even gave us gifts. It's amazing."

Next Zul Faden will be heading to Indonesia in December to meet with music industry representatives to look at any possibility of collaboration on a new album.

He is also one of the nominees for Pelangi Award and VIMA Awards 2011 in KL, Malaysia.

Lily Chiam is working on producing her third album.
