Law Society to give free legal advice
The clinics will be open from 9am to 12pm and the date and times for subsequent clinics appear at the same location, a press release from the society stated.
The clinic, which started on September 25, 2010, was aimed at increasing public awareness on legal matters by providing free legal consultation to certain sectors of the public "who may not otherwise be able to obtain legal advice".
The advice will cover consultation in civil, criminal and syariah matters, and will be provided on a first come, first serve basis, the statement added.
For consultation, the public was reminded to bring along their identity card, residential address and proof of monthly income of less than $750.
They must also not otherwise have legal representation, the press release added.
